Dating back to the 13th century, Hauville's windmill reminds us of the importance of the flour milling industry in the Norman countryside. It cuts a fine figure with its rotating oak framed roof covered with reed thatch that is turned according to the direction of the wind, its elegant stone tower and its large sails, which have been fully restored. Inside, you can take a look at the mechanism and listen to old millers' stories.
The earliest mention of the windmill goes back to 1258 in a charter of Jumièges Abbey.
