Savour relaxing pursuits : our varied lakes, set in green surrounds, are made for wandering around, enjoying a relaxing time. In summer, make the most of our outdoor leisure centres to go swimming safely, with lifeguards to hand. On a weekend away with friends, why not take part in a volleyball match or pétanque competition. And enjoy exploring the country settings, heading out on the walking trails marked all around. Aquatic centres, outdoor leisure and water sports centres, varied lakes and swimming pools… yes, the Eure has what it takes to delight all the family!
In addition to all the activities mentioned, further facilities make these places fun to visit: picnic tables; refreshment areas serving drinks and snacks; children’s playgrounds; bouncy castles; outdoor table-tennis tables; mini-golf courses; and more.

So many activities on offer for sports enthusiasts : the Eure’s outdoor leisure centres can provide a wide range of activities for sports enthusiasts and those keen on water sports. Among the best known is the Base régionale de plein air et de loisirs de Léry-Poses (close to the animal park and gardens of Biotropica); it offers rock climbing, windsurfing, paddle-boarding and kayaking. At Ézy-sur-Eure, the Base nautique d’Ezylake, made up of four lakes, caters more to those who like such board sports as wakeboarding and making use of the water-skiing lift.

As it can sometimes be difficult to find things to do on Sundays and public holidays, think of coming to the Eure to enjoy all manner of leisure activities and water sports on those days. For further information, do contact the county’s tourist offices which can provide more details on seasonal openings and daily opening times.
