In the Seine valley, in the heart of Normandy, come and learn more about the history of Les Andelys starting from Prehistory.

From Prehistory to the 20th century industrial development, prepare to be surprised by the significant local heritage. The collection gather very diverse objects (paintings, sculptures, furniture, etc.). And they deal with different themes: Fine arts, Decorative arts, archaeology, industrial heritage, local history and ethnology. Do not miss Coriolanus, THE museum's masterpiece painted by Nicolas Poussin and which reminds us of the local origins of this great 17th century French painter.

One of the rooms is dedicated to Clotilde's cult, wife of King Clovis I. The patron saint of Les Andelys is said to have given the water of the fountain the taste and power of wine to give to quench the thirst of the workers building the monastery.
