Discover the secrets and history of inland waterway navigation and of the local river Seine thanks to the guided tour of two museum-boats led by former boatmen. On board the Fauvette, a river towboat listed Historic Monument, immerse yourself in the life on board in the old days and explore the engine room, the wheelhouse and the cabins. As for the barge Midway, it tells the story of the river Seine and navigation techniques. The locks in working order, the dams, the old engines, the steam engine, etc. will no longer hold any secrets for you.
After the visit, have a walk along the towpath to the dam that spans the river Seine on 250 metres (273 yds.). Its imposing structure was created by Gustave Eiffel. From the top, you can admire barges coming and going through the locks.
